Meet Cassidy Reigel, 16, from Manchester Maryland  D&J’s Dynamite Dance Company.

Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.

I started dancing when I was 3 and the first ever solo performance I did... I felt like there was a light coming out of my heart!  That was when I knew I was meant to dance.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

Well I have had one leg about 1.5 inches shorter than the other all my life.  Over quarantine I had this corrected and I am better than ever now.  I had no idea how much pain I was in from this discrepancy.  Now I am pain free.

What personal limitations if any did you go through in your young career?

One leg shorter by 1.5 inch.

Has anybody ever tried to limit you on what you could do? If so how did you fight it?

I have never been limited but my mom has always told me that you can do anything if you keep focused.

How do you conquer negative talk?

I would just ignore it and worry about me!

What is your favorite quote?

?

So, what’s next? Any big plans?

I have started to audition for TV and Dance.  Hoping to have my big break soon ❤️
