6 Benefits Of Dancing

Dancing. A sport and art we are all familiar with. But are there other benefits besides it being a physical activity and form of expression? We’re here to answer that question today! Here are some other benefits of dancing.

  1. Better muscular strength

Have you ever seen a ballerina hold their leg up in the air? That requires muscles!

  1. Better coordination

If you don’t have the best coordination, dance can certainly help with that.

  1. Better social skills

Unless you’re taking privates (which have their own benefits), dance classes are a great way to meet new people. Just don’t try to make new friends while the instructor is teaching.

  1. Helps cardiovascular health

In other words, dance is a great cardio workout!

  1. Improves balance

It takes balance to do multiple pirouettes or fouette turns.

  1. Light on your body

Many forms of physical activity may be very intense on the body such as weightlifting and American football. Dance doesn’t require heavy weights or ultra intense workouts.

Now you hopefully have more ways to convince your non-dancer friends to try out dance. Of course, other sports are great too (dance is just better 😀). And make sure to follow our social media @more_than_dancers for more relatable content.
